Welcome - 2020 Coronavirus beat us so this is to book for - The Ingatestone Classic 2021-Registration now open

Unfortunately this years show 2020 is CANCELLED but it is a pleasure to be able to plan for the show again, on Sunday 18th July 2021, once again in the lovely grounds of Ingatestone Hall.

At our last show we had a wonderful line up of classic vehicles from tractors, motorbikes, model Ts and 20's dodge through to a bus and big classic american cars. There were lots of stunning vehicles and just a few are captured in the gallery. This year we are raising money for the Marie Curie Charity. This show is free to the public and members of the public can also buy raffle tickets to support our charity.

Classics must register. Registration is an honour based system so you register whatever you feel comfortable with. Min £5 gets 1x raffle ticket, £10 for 2 etc, £30 = 6 tickets.

A vehicle information booklet will be available for download giving a brief background of the stunning vehicles on display. It will be an online document you can either print out or view online. I hope it will greatly improve your appreciation of the stunning cars on display and help to bring them to life. Click Me to view the booklet for the 2019 vehicles

Please note : Registration does not include entry to Ingatestone Hall itself, just the show and the grounds.

Alongside the array of classic vehicles and more on display there will be refreshments and a raffle at 3pm to win some small prizes. There will be 2 toilets available.

Autojumble Stalls will be welcome.  We will have 2 large fields open so there will be plenty of space.
There is disabled parking available. Obviously we are at the mercy of the weather so the show may finish early due to adverse weather conditions.

Last, but certainly not least, a special thank you to Lord Petre and his staff for their continued support and providing the venue for this show.

The Hall stands in open countryside, one mile from the village of Ingatestone and substantially retains its original Tudor form and appearance with its mullioned windows, high chimneys, crow-step gables and oak-panelled rooms and is surrounded by ten acres of enclosed gardens comprising extensive lawns, walled garden and stew pond.

As you enter the grounds you will see several entrances. The front hall entrance is on the furthest right. Car show vehicles and disabled take the centre entrance.  * visit the gallery to see pictures of how to get there.

Enjoy an afternoon at Ingatestone Hall touring the eight principal rooms containing paintings, furniture and memorabilia accumulated over the centuries and wander in the ten acres of gardens. Children will love finding the pigs or the lion and if someone can tell me the name of the huge leafs in the pond I would like to know :-)

No photography in house. Suitablity for the Disabled: Partial. WCs. Guided Tours: By arrangement. Suitability for Dogs: Only guide dogs inside Outside the grounds please ensure dogs are kept on a leash.

Ingatestone Hall is a Grade I listed 16th-century manor house in Essex, England some 5 miles south west of Chelmsford.

2020 marks the 44th year of this event.

The Ingatestone Classic Car Show is a gathering of classic and interesting vehicles, which has been an annual event since it was started in 1975. 2020 will mark the 44th year. 2019 was the best attended event with over 240 classic vehicles and 1500 visitors with 2 fields of classics on show. In 2018 we had over 270 cars booked to show but were hit with some dreadful weather which limited attendees

It is a ever growing popular event for both car owners and visitors alike, held in the grounds with the stunning backdrop of of Ingatestone Hall, the historic ancestral home of Lord Petre.

Ingatestone Hall is a Tudor Manor house which will is open to the public from 12.00 (please check with the house for exact times. A separate entry fee applies. It is located in Hall Lane (a continuation of Station Road), Ingatestone (Near Brentwood), Essex. The location tab has more details such as postcode and maps.

In the past, along with a rich variety of classic cars, there have been armoured cars, large limousines, ex Royal cars, cars from the dawn of motoring as old as 1904 through to a McLaren F1. Micro-cars, kit cars, custom cars, busses, lorries, army vehicles, motorcycles, classic caravans, a steam lorry, a traction engine, a 1909 Daimler with (perhaps) the oldest surviving Daimler sleeve valve engine in the world, an Essex Super Six Challenger and even a boat (on a trailer).

The show is a static event and we encourage owners to meet up and with visitors to socialise and discuss matters relating to their vehicles, or anything else of interest. Numbers are limited to 300 vehicles to give people the chance to get to know the other cars and people. I want this to be a warm friendly event.

Owners, passengers and visitors may choose to picnic, view the house and the grounds or visit the tea room. The grounds are stunning and a lovely, peaceful area to relax.

There are toilets provided, refreshments (tea, coffee, ice cream), good quality hot snacks with plenty of disabled access/parking. A vehicle information booklet will be available for download via the gallery after registration closes. It will be a pdf you can download/print out at home and will greatly improve your appreciation of the stunning cars on display.
